Patriots Complete Signing of 2024 Draftees
By Ryan Bunton
On Thursday, the New England Patriots and rookie wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk formally agreed to terms. Polk was the last remaining unsigned draftee from the 2024 class. With the wideout putting pen to paper, the draft class is now complete.
Polk was drafted with the 37th overall selection after an explosive 2023 during the Washington Huskies' march to the College Football Playoff National Championship. Polk hauled in 69 passes for 1,159 yards and 9 scores.
The terms of Polk's contract were not immediately announced.
On May 28, the Patriots locked up their third overall pick, quarterback Drake Maye. Maye earned a four-year, $36.6 million deal.
Polk will be expected to be a key contributor on New England's offense in 2024 after the team ranked towards the bottom of several key metrics on that side of the ball last season. The Patriots also drafted UCF wide receiver Javon Baker in the fourth round of April's draft and signed free agent K.J. Osborn as they work to improve a highly underperforming position group.
