It's been tough sledding for the New England Patriots to start the 2024 season. They won 16-10 in Week 1 over the Cincinnati Bengals but things've taken a turn since.

The Pats have dropped three straight games and the offense has struggled to get any momentum. After four games, New England is ranked 32nd in total offense (238.8) and passing offense (112.3), but 31st in scoring offense (13).

Las Vegas receiver Devante Adams may be on the move. Sports Illustrated's Michael Fabiano revealed that Adams may have played his last snap with them and they are open to moving him. Head coach Antonio Pierce liked the post and that opened the door to speculation.

Now on Tuesday, Adams was on the "Up & Adams" show and said there has been no communication with anybody from the team.

NFL News: Devante Adams Could Be on the Move

The Pats need more juice on the offensive end and they could land Adams in a blockbuster trade that we have created here.

Raiders/Patriots Trade

In this scenario, the Patriots land Adams in exchange for Jacoby Brissett, Javon Baker, a 2025 third-round pick, and a 2026 second-round pick.

The Patriots were aggressive in their pursuit of Calvin Ridley and Brandon Aiyuk so it wouldn't be a shocker if they did the same for Adams.

They are in desperate need of a WR1 and Adams would fill that void. In addition to that, they are sending out Brissett, which would open the door for Drake Maye to be the starter.

In addition to that, the Pats have $36 million in cap space so they have the funds to absorb Adams' contract.

If the Pats traded for the six-time Pro Bowler right now, it would cost $13.5 million against the cap. If they waited until the trade deadline, it would be $8.6 million against the salary cap.

Over the next two seasons, the 31-year-old will make $36 million per year but those salaries aren't guaranteed so this would be a massive addition for the offense. They would be getting a superstar playmaker while getting their young signal caller on the field.

The offensive line still needs work but if you can get a player like Adams, you need to pull the trigger.
