Although free agency has been going on for over a week, there are still quality players available on the market. Teams like the Patriots could vastly improve in some areas with the veterans still unsigned.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore is one of those names and he's kept the door open on a potential return to Foxborough.

WR Kendrick Bourne would love the idea of Gilmore coming back to New England and took to social media to show his excitement.

On X, Bourne commented on a post saying, "Yes!!!!".

Patriots Rumors: Kendrick Bourne Loves the Idea of Stephon Gilmore Returning to New England

Even though these two players haven't suited up together with the Pats, Bourne knows the type of player Gilmore is.

The former South Carolina standout is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and has notched two First-Team All-Pro nods.

At the age of 33, Gilmore was still an effective defender with the Dallas Cowboys in 2023. He recorded a career-high 68 total tackles with 13 pass deflections and two interceptions. He also finished with a 74.4 PFF grade and has good football left in the tank.

New England should kick the tires on a reunion and set up a tandem of Gilmore and Christian Gonzalez.

New England needs to ace this offseason to improve their odds for the 2024 season. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Patriots are +1700 underdogs to win the AFC East. If you want to take lock-in of these odds, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and claim your sign-up bonus.
