How will the New England Patriots attack the 2024 NFL Draft after the NFL Combine? Could they make a shocking quarterback selection?

3. (68th overal): Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame

The offensive tackle position -- and perhaps the offensive line overall -- will be a major area of focus this entire offseason for the New England Patriots.

Trent Brown has been really good when he's on the field, but at what point are the Patriots going to stop putting up with that whole situation? Mike Onwenu is also a free agent, and he's proven in his time with the Patriots that he can play just about any position on the offensive line and do it well.

For New England's sake, they are hopefully able to bring back Onwenu and I think they could pencil him in as the starting left tackle moving forward. If that ends up being the case, then New England could be looking for a new starting right tackle in the 2024 NFL Draft, where Notre Dame's Blake Fisher comes into play.

Fisher was the bookend at Notre Dame opposite Joe Alt, who could be an option for the Patriots with the 3rd overall pick. He's got tremendous size, length, and athletic traits. Scouts feel like Fisher just lacks consistency compared to a prospect like Alt, but his talent could be maximized at the next level with the right coaching.
