The New England Patriots are shaking things up for their Week 8 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

No, it's not a quarterback change or a big trade before the deadline. Instead, the Patriots will look a bit different (literally) than they usually do when they take the field at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday afternoon.

Patriots Uniforms Week 8

New England revealed on Sunday morning that it's changing up its uniforms for today's AFC East rivalry showdown. The Patriots will be wearing silver pants instead of the usual blue pants that accompany their white jerseys for road games.

This is a significant change for New England, which hasn't worn silver pants on the road in over four years. The last time the Pats did so was Week 2 of the 2019 season when they destroyed the Dolphins 43-0, a game that was notable for being Antonio Brown's first and only game with New England.

That was also the last time the Patriots won a game in Miami, as they've lost their last three games down there in 2020, 2021 and 2022. They're hoping the new unis can help them break that trend, especially with the Dolphins in first place at 5-2 and New England in last place at 2-5.

The new threads can't hurt, but the Patriots are going to need all the help they can get if they want to upset Miami. The Dolphins are heavily favored at home in Week 8, largely because Tua Tagovailoa has never lost to New England.
