The New England Patriots are in the beginning stages of a rebuild. They have a new head coach in town, will likely have a new QB in 2024, and are sitting on a boatload of cap space. Additionally, they own the No. 3 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. That selection allows them to snag a blue-chip prospect.

But they could also move out of that pick and add more draft capital for the future. There are a few ways you can go with this decision due to the Patriots' needs in multiple areas. They need help at quarterback, offensive line, and could use playmakers in any fashion.

Linebacker Matthew Judon will be a part of the team's plans in 2024 and shared his thoughts on what the Pats should do with the third overall pick.

Patriots Rumors: Judon Believes the New England Should Trade Down

In an appearance on "Good Morning Football" on Mar. 6, Judon gave some insight on why he thinks the Patriots should trade back from the No. 3 overall pick.

He said, "Just sitting back and actually being a football fan, I think (there's) so many quarterbacks that everybody salivate over every year. And sometimes they just don't pan out. Could they be the next big thing? Or could they just have had a great college career? "

Judon was asked should the Pats move back and he stated, "Come on. Let's get more picks. Let's get more offensive weapons. ... Both of our tight ends might be leaving. Let's get the tight end from Georgia. Come on. And then, maybe we get two picks in the first round. Get some offensive linemen, protect our quarterback."

Judon seems to be a big fan of Georgia's tight end Brock Bowers and you can't blame him. Multiple NFL Draft experts have compared Bowers to San Francisco's George Kittle. Bowers is an athletic pass-catcher who owns a knack for piling up YAC. From 2021-2023, he notched 175 receptions for 2,538 receiving yards, and 26 receiving touchdowns.

Who knows if management will listen to Judon's request but they need to ace this offseason to improve their odds for the 2024 campaign.
