The New England Patriots have been able to change things around this offseason. They named Jerod Mayo as the new head coach, replacing Bill Belichick and they have Eliot Wolf as the new GM.

They retained a bunch of internal guys like Mike Onwenu, Kyle Dugger, and Kendrick Bourne. It's a new era down in Foxborough as they prepare for the 2024 season.

Mandatory minicamps are taking place from June 4-6 for the Patriots and New England decided to work out one of the top UFL standouts.

Patriots News: New England Are Going to Work Out Guard Liam Fornadel

According to James Larsen, the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers are working out DC Defenders guard Liam Fornadel this week.

On June 3, the Patriots decided to waive OL Andrew Stueber, clearing a spot along the interior.

Fornadel played in every snap for the Defenders during the 2024 UFL season and didn't give up a sack. The former James Madison product is a solid anchor with great awareness on the field. He does a great job finishing blocks and has light feet to change directions.

Fornadel now has an opportunity to impress New England's coaches and get a chance to make the 53-man roster. He's suited up in the XFL/UFL for the last two years so he has experience playing professional football, just not at the NFL level.

Stueber was competing for a backup role before he was let go so the reps are there if Fornadel makes the roster.
