The New England Patriots have been shuffling things around all offseason and that won't change heading into the summer.

The changes in Foxborough started when they parted ways with Bill Belichick and Mac Jones. They replaced those two guys with Jerod Mayo and Drake Maye. They also signed Jacoby Brissett in free agency to be a bridge QB.

They then drafted Joe Milton, and when factoring in Bailey Zappe and Nathan Rourke, things were very crowded in the Patriots' quarterback.

That lead to Rourke's release, and he wasted no time finding a new home.

Patriots News: Nathan Rourke Is Claimed By the New York Giants

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the New York Giants claimed QB Nathan Rourke off waivers from New England.

On May 6, the Pats officially released Rourke. In 2023, the 25-year-old was claimed off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 19. He was inactive for two games before suiting up to be the backup quarterback in the season-finale against the New York Jets.

He now trots down to New Jersey and will have a shot to compete for a roster spot. Rourke is known for being a dual-threat passer who has the ability to extend plays with his legs.

Although he hasn't produced at the NFL, Rourke was cooking in the CFL. In 2022 with the BC Lions, the former Ohio standout threw for 3,349 passing yards, notched 304 rushing yards, and racked up 32 total touchdowns. He also had a 78.7 competition percentage, which was a CFL record. Rourke grabbed the CFL Award for Most Outstanding Canadian for his monster season.

He now has another chance to impress NFL coaches and find his way onto a roster.
