The 2024 NFL regular season was electric in Week 1 but now teams around the league honed in on Week 2.

One of the biggest surprises in Week 1 was the New England Patriots, who defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 16-10. In Jerod Mayo's debut, his team came out ready to ball and had a statement win.

Not all teams in the NFL were victorious on Sunday, and fans immediately went to social media to express their displeasure. They were asking for their clubs to sign a former New England Patriot.

NFL News: Washington Commander Fans Want JC Jackson

Washington Commander fans were upset after their team was defeated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37-20. In that loss, Baker Mayfield went 24-of-30 for 289 yards with four passing touchdowns.

This is exactly what Washington fans saw last year, as they were ranked 32nd in the league in pass defense (262.2). That led to fans asking for the club to sign ex-Patriot cornerback JC Jackson.

Jackson was suspended for the first game of the 2024 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

The 28-year-old's best years of his career came with New England from 2018-2021, where he finished with 183 total tackles, 59 pass deflections, and 25 interceptions.

Things took a turn for the worse when he joined the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022 on a massive five-year, $82.5 million deal. He ended up rupturing his patellar tendon in 2022 before getting traded back to the Patriots in 2023.

Now, the Commanders' fanbase is itching to see Jackson with their team after the pitiful performance that happened on Sunday. But who knows if Adam Peters will hear them out.
