The Boston Red Sox are in the middle of one of their most frustrating stretches of the 2025 MLB season, leaving fans desperate to look anywhere for positivity. The need for good vibes has led a good chunk of the fanbase to turn their attention to the Red Sox's prospect pipeline, which features some of the most exciting up-and-coming names baseball has to offer.
While top prospect Roman Anthony is receiving most of that attention, stud infielder Blaze Jordan has also drawn his fair share of interest. The former 2020 third-rounder was promoted to Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday following a strong performance with Double-A Portland to begin the 2025 campaign.
Well, it turns out it didn't take the Red Sox prospect long to make an impact.
Red Sox IF Prospect Blaze Jordan Record 1st Triple-A HR in Front of Family
Facing the Rochester Red Wings on Wednesday afternoon, Jordan recorded his first-ever Triple-A home run to give Worcester an 8-0 lead at the bottom of the third inning. What's even better is that the minor-league milestone occurred while Jordan's family was being interviewed, making it an even more memorable moment.
"We're going to let that one sit for a second," the WooSox reporter announced as Jordan's parents celebrated his milestone.
Jordan's solo HR was one of the many runs Worcester scored during its 9-1 blowout win over Rochester. The infield prospect ended the day with a 2-for-4 record in the batter's box, which includes an RBI double as well. Including Tuesday's debut, he's now up to three extra-base hits (2 doubles, 1 HR) in his first eight Triple-A ABs.
Prospects don't always live up to their hype; however, it's clear that Jordan didn't get that memo. The 22-year-old Southaven, MS native could find himself in the Majors sooner rather than later if he continues to smack the leather off of baseballs in the minors, especially with his ability to play both first and third base — two positions that have been a hot topic in Boston this season.
In the meantime, Red Sox fans will continue following Jordan's progress. After all, it's one of the few things the fanbase has had to cheer about lately.
