Boston Bruins defeat New Jersey Devils 2-1 in nail bitter with the help from Patrice Bergeron.

The Bergeron line is finally back together and thing are starting to look up for the Boston Bruins. Both Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron score to lift bruins to their second straight victory. To top it off they did it in front of Bruins Legends, Bobby Orr and Milt Schmidt.

Having Bergeron back in the lineup means that other lines will be back to normal which is good news for 2nd line center David Krejci. Krejci is the type of player that like things to be a certain way and when Bergy was out it was just not the same but hopefully with him back Krejci can start putting points on the board.

Bergeron is coming off of a career year where he had 32 goals, 36 assists for 68 points. Then the March Bergy duo continued to dominate with the help from Sidney Crosby in the World cup where Bergeron was playing the wing. During the World Cup that was dominant.

To top it all off Bergeron scores the game winner with only 1:16 left on the clock. One of the Bruins most clutch players comes through again. And of course the pass came from his partner in crime Brad Marchand.

I like one change that has been made this year and that is having David Pastrnak playing with Bergeron. I think it will definitely help the kid improve his game. Especially when you have one of the greatest passers dishing you the puck.

Forwards from last nights game:

Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak

Heinen-Krejci-Backes

Defense is starting to find its groove

More from Boston Bruins

Bruins defense is starting to come together. The Defense has only allowed two goals in the previous two games. This may due and part to Carlo, who is starting to find his groove in the Bruins lineup. He has looked very good in these first four games and I only remember on major mistake when he missed his assignment on a penalty kill in game 2.

Another first came last night when Joe Morrow made his season debut last night, he looked good. He played a very physical game which we are not used to seeing, but when his job is threatened he knows he needs to do something to make him stand out. I think that B’s should keep Morrow and Send O’Gara to Providence to help him improve his game.

Things are going to get even trickier when Adam McQuaid and Kevan Miller come back from injury. The Bruins are going to have to move some pieces.

Defense lines last night:

Chara-Carlo

Morrow-Krug

Liles-C.Miller

Healthy scratches: Ryan Spooner, and Rob O’Gara.
