The Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars are SCHEDULED to face off tonight at the TD Garden starting at 7:00pm, however with winter weather shutting down the MBTA it is unknown at this time if the game is going to postponed or not. Nonetheless…

Tyler Seguin and the Dallas Stars visit the TD Garden for the first time this season as they enter with a 24-21-8 record entering tonight’s contest. Seguin has been the spark that the Stars have needed thus far this season, his team leading 29 goals is 3rd best in the NHL, and he leads the entire league in points at 59. Alongside Seguin is teammate Jason Spezza who is coming off an impressive performance Sunday against the New York Rangers where he scored recorded a goal and two assists in the Stars 3-2 win.

For the Bruins they are looking to turn things around after their inept offensive performance Sunday night against the Montreal Canadians. The Bruins enter with a 28-21-7 record, good for the 2nd Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference and with the trade deadline coming up, Bruins fans have to wonder if General Manager Peter Chiarelli will be looking at making some moves. For the Bruins Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and Loui Eriksson have lead the team in goals this season, however it doesn’t seem to be enough especially against teams like Montreal.

Two of the biggest needs for the Bruins going into the trading deadline is finding someone who can play along the Milan LucicDavid Krejci line, as well as finding a solid defensemen to replace the void left by Johnny Boychuk. It will be tough to move players especially with the Bruins cap situation so tight, they could move a guy like Matt Bartkowski or Jordan Caron for someone like Jordan Eberle or Martin Erat but again it will be very tough with the cap space they have (or don’t have).

Puck drop is at 7:00 pm at the TD Garden, the game can be seen on NESN as well as heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
