New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has set himself apart as the greatest quarterback of all time according to another current elite quarterback.

After winning his fifth Super Bowl ring in comeback fashion, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady ended the debate on who is the greatest quarterback of all time for some.  For others, the debate still lives on as the 39-year-old quarterback continues to play at a high level.

Aaron Rodgers is not one of those who argue Brady as the best of all time, because of him it has been already settled.  Following the historic comeback in Super Bowl LI, the Green Bay Packers quarterback conceded Brady as the best.

Rodgers, who himself is in the conversation as one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game, already appreciated the player Brady is on and off the field.  His performance in the big game just solidified something Rodgers said he already felt about the New England Patriots star quarterback, especially after Brady’s onslaught defeated another quarterback Rodgers has respect and admiration for.

"“I felt bad for Matt (Ryan),” Rodgers said in an interview appearance on In Depth with Graham Benisnger last week via NFL.Com. “I have gotten to know him over the years, he is a fantastic guy.  He had an incredible MVP season and sitting there 28-3 I think everybody watching and probably at the game was thinking, ‘Atlanta is going t get their ring sized up here pretty soon.’  So that was disappointing.“So from a fan’s perspective, what a great game to watch and to see Tom in his greatness on display one more time.  I mean, he didn’t need to win that to prove that he’s the G.O.A.T, but just another part of his legacy there.”"

Although Rodgers has admitted Tom Brady as the best modern day quarterback, it may take the two facing off in a Super Bowl, for those who keep the argument alive to finally give Brady that label.

Patriots awarded two compensatory picks

The New England Patriots will enter the 2017 NFL draft with four of the top 103 picks in the draft.

On Friday, the team received the Cleveland Browns’ compensatory pick in the third round concluding the Jamie Collins deal.  They also received a fifth-round pick due to the team’s loss of Akiem Hicks and Tavon Wilson to free agency a season ago.

Although the team didn’t get anything in return for Collins as far as players, the pick via Cleveland is probably a higher pick thank the team would’ve received if they kept Collins for the remainder of the season and loss him to free agency.  The Patriots wouldn’t have received the pick until 2018.  So by trading Collins, they get to use the pick this season.
