The Boston Celtics enter Wednesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers with hopes of continuing the momentum they gained from Monday Night’s impressive 110-102 victory over the Washington Wizards at TD Garden.
With the victory, Boston took a 2.5 game lead over the Wizards for the No. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference. If he playoffs were to end today, the Wizards opponent would be the Pacers who are also coming off a Monday night victory.

Indiana, who is battling for a playoff spot despite holding the No. 6 spot, will be aiming to knock out Boston in a game that could be a first-round preview if the Pacers slip down to No. 7.
Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford and the Celtics will try to avoid a letdown from the intense battle with the Wizards Monday night. If they don’t come to play right out the gate, Jeff Teague, Paul George and company are more than capable of jumping out and making it a tough night for the team in green and white.

The Celtics had Tuesday off, but managed to clinch a playoff berth for the third consecutive season.
Boston, who is still in contention for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, clinched the playoff berth due to losses by both the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons.
The Celtics currently hold the No. 2 spot and would face the Milwaukee Bucks if the season ended today. Both teams still have two games remaining head to head. Boston won the first meeting back on January 28 in a 112-108 overtime victory.

Prediction
The Celtics could easily have a letdown in this game. With Paul George on the court, I think Boston’s competitive nature will wake up rather quickly. The game will be close in the first half, but the Celtics will eventually pull away in the third quarter to win their second consecutive game.
