Boston Bruins practice updates: Patrice Bergeron not on ice
By Sam Minton
After two terrible losses, the Boston Bruins get some more bad news.
The Boston Bruins were hoping that they would get one of their top forwards back this weekend. After Friday’s practice, it appears that Bruins fans will have to wait. Patrice Bergeron’s status appears to have not gotten better.
NBC Sports Boston’s Joe Haggerty reported that Bergeron was not visible at the start of practice. It took 45 minutes for Bergeron to come out and join his teammates on the bench. After reports from the team that they were aiming for a weekend return for Bergeron, this seems to put a damper on those plans.
After practice Head Coach Bruce Cassidy added to the belief that Bergeron most likely will be unable to play.
Things are seeming to get worse and worse for the Bruins and this obviously is taking a toll on Bergeron. You know that he wants to get on the ice.

The more time that he isn’t fully participating at practice adds to the time he is out. With how much time he is missing Bruins fans may be starting to worry. Things can go downhill quickly so having Bergeron back would be a big boost.
Khudobin to start versus Coyotes
Also after practice on Friday Bruce Cassidy announced that Anton Khudobin will be starting on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how he performs after a good relief effort last game versus the Avalanche.
Khudobin is coming off a mediocre season. He had a 7-6 record with a .904 save percentage and a 2.64 GAA. If Khudobin proves to be better than last season it could mean a lot for the Bruins goaltending situation. If the Bruins can have a quality backup it can help to keep Tuukka Rask fresh. Also having Khudobin start on Saturday helps Rask shake off this terrible start to the season.

The Bruins are looking at a three-game losing streak if they fail to show up once again this season.
