Jaylen Brown is key for Boston Celtics this season
With a rough start to the Boston Celtics 2017-2018 season, second year guy Jaylen Brown is going to be the key going forward.
Honestly, I didn’t think I’d write that sentence so soon into the season. The Boston Celtics have had a really rough few days, and as fans we’ve been hurting with them. Gordon Hayward going down shook this team to its core, and sometimes it doesn’t even feel real. Like…I still can’t believe that happened.
This team has a lot to figure out going forward, but one thing we should focus on is the relationship between Jaylen Brown and Kyrie Irving. Irving and Hayward were supposed to be that dynamic duo, but with Hayward sidelined, Jaylen Brown has looked like he really wants to step up for this team.
You can see it in the past two games, Kyrie Irving actively looking for Jaylen Brown. A chemistry is building with those guys and the stronger their relationship gets, the easier this season will be for the rest of the team.
Brown has an aggressiveness that has allowed him to flourish, part of being in the NBA is being ready for any challenge.

However, Brown needs to show a better touch from three point range. He looks better so far, and I do like that he prefers to attack the rim. But, he needs that shot to keep falling in order to be a real threat. His persona screams “leader”.
In a season that started with heartbreak, Jaylen Brown is giving us hope.
When they drafted him, I said he’s going to be a star and I firmly stand by that statement.
He had 25 against LeBron and the Cavaliers, and call me crazy but I think 17-22 ppg is realistic for him this year.
As far as our beloved Celtics go, give them some time. This squad is full of high IQ guys from ownership, front office, coaching staff all the way to the players.
Next: Dear Boston Celtics fans, everything will be okay
Take a deep breath and before you know it, this team will be looking like a top squad in the east.
