New England Patriots 2017: A fan’s Christmas letter to NFL Santa
By Tre Wiggins
Ho Ho Ho! It is Christmas Eve, so now it is time to write letters to the big guy in red on behalf of the New England Patriots.
Dear Santa,
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I am happy to be writing to you again in very high spirits. It has been a great year for the New England Patriots and I since I last talked to you!
But now it is nearing playoff time, and I have a few wishes that I need to ask of you. You give me the best presents each year, and I am hoping you deliver this year as well.
I first want to wish for another Lombardi trophy. Tom Brady needs it to affirm his spot as the best quarterback in history. Bill Belichick needs it so he can say he’s the best coach in NFL history. I need it so I can argue that the Patriots are one of (if not the best) franchise in the league. If you give me another Super Bowl victory, I’ll give you a lifetime supply of chocolate chip cookies.

I also want for Tom Brady to win the NFL MVP. He has proven time and time again that he is truly the best in the league, and this award would prove that he can still dominate the young competition as an older quarterback. It would be fun to see that.
If it is possible, I want Rob Gronkowski to get his own night club. I feel that it would be the perfect present for the guy. He loves to party. If you do that, I’d be a very happy Pats fan.
To finish my list
This year, to save me from tears, I would like for the Patriots to keep Brady and Belichick together for as long as possible. I know that I ask for this every year, and you always deliver, but this year just matters more. I would love to see these two dominate for as long as humanly possible. They could make Father Time look like a fool.

I really hope that you get me these gifts this year. I promise I won’t rub it in people’s faces too much…
Sincerely,
Tre Wiggins (and the whole New England Patriots team)
P.S. If the defense could never allow 20+ points again, I would stop nervously sweating during games. That would stop me from asking for more jerseys… Happy Holidays!
