Boston Bruins: We don’t deserve Brad Marchand

The season may be over for Boston Bruins winger Brad Marchand, but the trolling never stops.

Man do I love me some Brad Marchand. He turned the entire hockey world on its head by simply licking people. The amazing agitator was up to his antics on the first day of the Boston Bruins offseason. He came right out of the gate just thumbing his nose at the hockey media and sending a kiss emoji.

It was insane how upset people were getting over lick-gate. People were freaking out about how bad this was for the game of hockey. Maybe you should be more worried about concussions and hits like the one J.T. Miller delivered on David Backes. Also maybe get upset over the horrible officiating that took over the Bruins series as well as the entire NHL.

Then Marchand made all Bruins fans proud and possibly forced the Montreal Canadiens to be relegated to the AHL because they got destroyed.

Yikes! Not a good look for our north of the border rivals. If you come at the king you best not miss and if you are going to make a joke about Brad Marchand don’t have an absolutely awful season.

Also after a playoff loss some fans tend to overreact, but the Boston sports media landscape went insane. They were saying trade Tuukka Rask even though he was one of the best goaltenders in all of round 2 and then the hot takes came flowing through.

Why on Earth would you blame Brad Marchand for all of this? Once again if you are getting this upset over a guy licking people you may want to take a look in the mirror. Marchand is a known agitator. Did this really surprise you? Marchand is one of the best players on the team. He was one of the only Bruins that were able to get anything going in the offensive zone. If the Bruins front office lost their marbles and got rid of Marchand, it would be the worst trade in Boston Bruins history and you may even say the entire NHL.

The notion that management and his teammates were upset over Marchand’s antics seems rather far-fetched. You would think the Bruins would be glad to have such a hard-working teammate by their side. Marchand’s antics lead to his other teammates scoring when he is able to draw a penalty.

We don’t deserve Brad Marchand. He is a national treasure. Marchand definitely should not have to deal with these stupid rumors.

If you aren’t following Marchand on Twitter I recommend you do. He is one of the funniest guys in the NHL. The fact that some fans and media members are saying the Bruins should get rid of Marchand is downright disrespectful.
