After a rough end to their season, 3 Boston Bruins players have found a ton of success at the IIHF World Championship in Denmark.

The Boston Bruins Stanley Cup aspirations came crashing down after the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated them to advance to the Eastern Conference finals. The Bruins couldn’t get anything going which eventually led to their demise.

After their season ended three players headed to Denmark to represent their country in the IIHF World Championship and have been playing phenomenal. I guess it must be the wider ice.

The first round of production came out of the Czech Republic. In their first game with the team, David Krejci and David Pastrnak combined for seven points. “Pasta” had two goals and an assist and Krejci had a goal and three helpers.  The stunning part about this is that Krejci had a horrible postseason. I was expecting to hear that he was injured, but he clearly wasn’t. You just wish he could have been able to have a performance like this in the playoffs.

Then there is the American wonder, Charlie McAvoy. He was able to put some points on the board during Team USA’s domination of South Korea. McAvoy had two goals and three assists as the red white and blue defeated South Korea 13-1.

Now this is a little less surprising. McAvoy had a good postseason and proved that he is a gamer. Last season was clearly not a fluke. McAvoy stepped up with Torey Krug out and played a big role in the Bruins schemes.

As we watch our favorite players represent their country there is that lingering thought in the back of your head. Why couldn’t they score like this in the playoffs? Let’s look on the bright side. The Bruins clearly have some really talented players who will be producing at a high level for a long time.
