The New England Patriots began their mandatory minicamp and it seems that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are on the same page.

The whole offseason there was worry in New England. It was reported that Tom Brady and Bill Belichick’s relationship was on the fritz and that tension was at an all-time high in New England, but on the first day of the New England Patriots mandatory minicamp, Bill Belichick seemed to put that all to rest.

Belichick spoke to the media on Tuesday and said that he has a great relationship with Brady.

Now I don’t expect Belichick to just outright say he hates Brady, but he didn’t have to answer the question. He could’ve easily said that he is focused on practice today or that he has no comment. It seems that he went out of his way to make it known that he has a great relationship with Tom.

Brady didn’t exactly help things by being absent for OTA’s. These may be voluntary practices, but Brady has stressed in previous seasons how important they are. He said in Tom vs Time that you have to be willing to give it all to beat him. So not showing up for OTA’s is something that should make fans just a little nervous.

A step in the right direction

It may be a meaningless minicamp but it was a step in the right direction. The entire offseason we have heard how the end may be near for the Patriots. That the rift between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick is unrepairable.

Well after those comments, it looks like all is well. The duo seems to be focused on one thing only, winning football games.
