It is being reported that LeBron James is considering playing for the Boston Celtics next season. That sounds like a bad idea.

The Boston Celtics have just been thrown into the biggest story of the NBA offseason. On ESPN’s First Take Stephen A Smith said that LeBron James will have a conversation with the Boston Celtics. If the Celtics somehow landed LeBron it would be one of the worst moves in the team’s history.

First off LeBron James is one of the best players to play the game. There is no one in the league that plays like he does, but James doesn’t fit well in Boston.

The Celtics would have to give up their entire future to land LeBron. The Celtics certainly don’t have the cap space to keep all of their stars and bring in James.

Also the Celtics don’t need James. For the foreseeable future the Celtics are going to be the favorite in the East. They have an amazing young core of Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Terry Rozier. The C’s will also add Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving to their rightful place in the starting lineup.

The Celtics also can’t forget why they landed Irving. He wanted to get away from LeBron James. I don’t think Kyrie would be too happy if he had to deal with LeBron sonning him every chance he gets.

The Boston Celtics may certainly win a championship or two if they sign James, but the future of the franchise will be in shambles.

So it may seem like a great move at the moment but the Boston Celtics should steer clear of LeBron James
