Boston College Eagles: AJ Dillon poised for fantastic sophomore season
By Sam Minton
After a breakout freshman year, Boston College Eagles running back AJ Dillon is ready to take on the ACC once again.
If you think that college football is struggling in the North East you are sadly mistaken. One of the great running backs in the NCAA plays at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. AJ Dillon is coming off a fantastic freshman year for the Boston College Eagles and is ready to dominate the ACC once again.
In his freshman year, Dillon ran for 1,589 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was a workhorse as he ranked 3rd in rushing attempts in the NCAA (1st in ACC) and ranked 7th in rushing yards (2nd in ACC).
Dillon has already brought home some hardware as he was named the ACC Rookie of the Year. Also, his 1,589 yards was the 2nd most rushing yards by a freshman in ACC history.

A new addition
Dillon is expected to put Boston College on his back once again as he was named the ACC preseason player of the year.
Dillon is a beast with the ball in his hands. He knows how to find the hole, and once he does you might as well get out of the way. Standing at 6’0″ 240 pounds he is great in the red zone.
Also when Dillon is in the open field he is hard to bring down. Whether it is a stiff arm or a juke, Dillon makes lives difficult for opposing defenses.
The Boston College Eagles have been mediocre the last two years. They have finished 7-6 and failed to win the Pinstripe Bowl last season.
The Eagles were also projected to come in 4th once again in the Atlantic division of the ACC. Hopefully, the Eagles can exceed expectations and move up the rankings.

The Boston College Eagles season may be clouded with mystery, but there is no doubt that AJ Dillon will dominate the running game once again.
