New England Patriots: How does Colin Cowherd still have a job?

Colin Cowherd’s latest take will have New England Patriots fans fuming. On his FS1 radio show, Cowherd said that he believes the Patriots roster isn’t capable of winning a Super Bowl.

Oh Colin we meet again. What is your issue with the New England Patriots? It seems that Cowherd has the hottest of takes when it comes to the Patriots.

Cowherd has already predicted Tom Brady’s demise and also was in the news this summer when he was demolished by Cleveland Browns rookie Quarterback Baker Mayfield after Cowherd questioned Mayfield’s attitude.

Now Cowherd is saying that the Patriots can’t win a Super Bowl this year, and one Patriot thinks that is hilarious.

It is July. How can you know that a team can’t win a Super Bowl? This is the only time of the year when literally anyone can win. The Patriots haven’t even played a preseason game. How does Colin Cowherd of all people know that this roster can’t win a Super Bowl?

There is no doubting that the Patriots lost some major pieces this offseason, but they will be getting some important players back.

Dont’a Hightower will be back leading the Patriots defense, immediately improving the pass rush. Also, the Patriots signed Adrian Clayborn who will be great coming off the edge. Last season for the Atlanta Falcons, Clayborn racked up 9.5 sacks.

The most important thing for the Patriots is that they have Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. These two are the best players at their position. When they are in the zone no one can stop them.

Brady has shown no signs of slowing down. He threw for 4,577 yards and 32 touchdowns last season.

The only issue for Gronkowski is staying healthy. At some points, it feels like Gronkowski is made of glass. His body has taken a beating in his 8-year career. One more bad back injury and Gronk may be forced to end his career.

The Patriots may have lost some players, but they are without a doubt the top team in the AFC. They will be until Tom Brady and Bill Belichick decide to retire.
