The Patriots have Bill Belichick

Bill Belichick’s decision making may be questioned after his benching of Malcolm Butler, but he is still the greatest coach in the NFL. Pete Carroll on the other hand is not the greatest coach.

Carroll’s antics seem to be better suited for college football. His rah-rah attitude doesn’t really have the same effect on NFL players.

Belichick’s antics may be losing its power as well. he is very hard on his players no matter how great they are. It doesn’t matter if you are the 53rd man on the roster, or Tom Brady, if you make a mistake you will be hearing it from Belichick.

Being so hard on your players can cause them to get tired of how they are being treated. NFL players are pampered compared to the players of yesteryear. They are making more money than ever, playing in the best facilities, and traveling like royalty. The effects of playing the game may be horrible, but the benefits definitely aren’t all that bad. So if you think you can get a better payday and get treated better, why would you stay in New England.

I think that since Belichick can lead team’s to victory the Patriots won’t spiral out of control.  He will use last year’s loss as motivation, and will probably have another opportunity to bring home a Lombardi Trophy.
