The New England Patriots kickoff their season this Sunday against the Houston Texans. There will definitely be some storylines that you want to pay attention to.

The New England Patriots start their journey for another Super Bowl banner on Sunday when they play the Houston Texans. Patriots fans will get their first taste of a 2018 squad that will be looking to make up for a disappointing loss in the Super Bowl last season.

Week 1 is important for many reasons. You want to start your season on the right foot, and getting a win is a great way to do it.

This offseason has been an interesting one for the Patriots. There are a ton of questions about this years team. We will start to get some answers on Sunday.

So here are the 3 storylines you will want to pay attention to in week 1.

Will missing OTA’s affect Tom Brady?

When Tom Brady missed OTA’s it was big news. Brady had stressed the importance of getting off to a good start and that foundation is built at OTA’s.

Now I don’t expect Brady to all of a sudden forget how to play quarterback, but he will now be under a microscope. If he struggles in any way critics will say that it is because he missed OTA’s.

Brady needs to prove on Sunday that he will be the great quarterback that we know and love. A dominant performance would calm the nerves of Patriots fans who are a little anxious about having a 41-year-old quarterback.

Hopefully, Brady will tear up the Houston Texans defense and lead the Patriots to victory.
