Building the defense’s morale

The New England defense was amazing on Sunday. They were causing turnovers and shut down two of the premier offensive talents in the league, but they can’t rest on their laurels now.

The Jaguars have Leonard Fournette a man who can sometimes be impossible to tackle. Tackling Fournette is like trying to stop a truck.

In Week 1 the Patriots proved that they could stop the passing game. Now they need to prove they can stop the ball on the ground.

This will be a big game for Ja’Whaun Bentley. The rookie is supposed to be great at stopping the run. He was great in Week 1 and fans will be expecting more quality performances going forward.

If the Patriots defense struggles, no one will remember the great effort in Week 1. You aren’t successful just because of one game. The defense needs to build off of Week 2 and prove they can stop both aspects of great offense’s.
