There are some free agents available that could help fill out the Boston Celtics roster. Since it appears that Jabari Bird will no longer be with the team, The C’s could use an extra man.

Are you ever really perfect? This Boston Celtics roster looks amazing. From Kyrie Irving all the way down to Semi Ojeleye. Still, there is room for improvement, especially with some of the talent still available.

If you are a Celtics fan you have to know what is going on with Jabari Bird. He is being accused of doing some truly awful things to his girlfriend. If the accusations are true I would be stunned to see him still on the roster when the regular season comes around.

Bird released a statement on Thursday saying that he is taking a leave of absence from the team to deal with his “legal and medical issues.”

Up until now, Bird was looked at as a player who could fill out the bottom of the Celtics roster. He is coming off a great performance at summer league. His effort earned him a two-year contract, with this season being fully guaranteed.

The Celtics seem to be leaving things in the hands of the NBA. Then Bird’s contract could possibly be voided. The Celtics would get some cap space and be able to stay under the luxury tax line.

If the Celtics just ended up releasing Bird on their own, they would still owe him $1.35 million. That would make it much harder to get a suitable replacement.

Now the big names have already been swooped up by other teams, but there are some great players still available. Some of these guys could even play a major role on the Celtics bench if needed.

So here are 3 players that the Boston Celtics should be targeting to fill out their roster.
