Some players were good

Now a whole lot of players were bad in Week 2, but some had good games. One of the guys who stuck out to me was Sony Michel. This was Michel’s first game in the NFL and he had a decent game.

Michel had 10 carries for 34 yards. Do those numbers excite you? Not really, but when you watch Michel run you can see that he could become a great running back.

The rookie seems to have great vision. He isn’t just running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Michel is looking for holes and is willing to wait for them to open up. If there is nothing to be had, Michel will then lower his shoulders and fight for every single yard.

With Rex Burkhead not getting a ton of playing time against the Jacksonville Jaguars, I think Michel could be the starter. Expect him to get more carries against the Lions, and hopefully, he will snatch his first career touchdown.

Another player who had a good game was Stephon Gilmore. Through two weeks, Gilmore has only given up 67 yards in coverage. He is locking guys down and that’s just what the Patriots need from him.

Also, I think Patriots fans need to be reminded who is on their roster.
