2. Cyrus Jones

Cyrus Jones seemed to be another failed draft pick by Bill Belichick. The Patriots released the cornerback during the preseason and it appeared that his time in New England was over, but to a lot of people’s surprise, Jones is back in New England.

Jones wasn’t practicing at corner though, he was at safety. With the news of Patrick Chung being doubtful to play, I expect that we will be seeing Jones get a decent amount of playing time.

All eyes will be on Jones. When Jones was first in New England he struggled to hold on to the ball and wasn’t good in coverage. You can’t be doing that when you are supposed to be a great punt returner.

One fumble could have Patriots fans begging for Jones release once again. I expect him to be returning kicks so we will see if Jones has the skills to stay around.
