The Boston Celtics held their media day on Monday and there was a ton of news that will excite Celtics fans.
Boston Celtics fans better be ready for one hell of a season. Expectations are sky high in Boston with the Celtics having one of the best rosters in the league.
The goal is simple for the C’s, make it to the NBA Finals. Anything else would just be a disappointment.
The expectations only grew after media day. It is clear that the Celtics believe that they can win a championship this season. Also, it appears that some players are poised for some amazing seasons.

So with that in mind let’s look at the 3 takeaways from Celtics media day.
Kyrie Irving is staying in Boston
If you had any worries about Kyrie Irving leaving Boston, you were ecstatic after media day. It now appears that Irving no longer wishes to head to New York, and is committed to the Boston Celtics.
Throughout the entire media day, Irving talked about how he loves playing in Boston. Irving’s only concern is money so as long as the Celtics pay him he will be coming back.
This is amazing news. It looks like the Celtics will be able to build around Irving and compete for championships for a long time. Irving is a top player in the league and can score at will.
I can’t wait to see what Gordon Hayward and Irving can do. The sky is the limit. They are both such talented players who complement each other’s game so well. Irving can drive to the rim and kick it out to Hayward. I expect Irving to rack up a lot of assists this season.
This season could be a career year for Irving due to all the talent around him.
