Boston Celtics: 3 takeaways from C’s media day

Jaylen Brown wants to compete
When you first think of the Boston Celtics you think of guys like Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward, and Jayson Tatum. Jaylen Brown ends up in the 2nd tier of guys. He will be a starter but will be taking a back seat this season in fan’s eyes.
At media day, Brown made sure that fans knew he was working hard this offseason.
"Jaylen Brown on working at free throws, ball handling, playmaking for others: “So many things that people critiqued me on in the past, it will be interesting to see if they critique me this year.”"
Brown improved as a player in his 2nd year and had a much larger role with the team. He is a quality shooter who has an explosive first step. With one thunderous dunk, Brown can change the pace of a game.
Now Celtics fans should be glad to see that Brown is working on his free throws. You can’t be shooting under 70 percent in the NBA. Brown shouldn’t be shooting under 80 percent. So hopefully we will see Brown sinking many more free throws this season.
Also, Brown has never been known for his passing ability. Since the Celtics have a ton of talented players Brown will have to share the ball.
This could be a big season for Jaylen Brown where he proves that he can’t be forgotten when game planning for the Celtics.
