David Pastrnak is having an amazing start to the season and is proving that he is worth every penny that the Boston Bruins spent on him.

Boston Bruins fans won’t have to worry about a lack of scoring this season. In just 5 games the team has scored 22 goals. Most of them coming from David Pastrnak.

Pastrnak is really showing how special of a player he is. I think the rest of the NHL will start to take notice.

So far this season Pastrnak has 7 goals and 2 assists. For most teams that would make Pastrnak a top score, but he is currently in 3rd behind linemates Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand.

More from Chowder and Champions

Pastrnak put his stamp on the Bruins 8-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday afternoon. Pastrnak had 3 goals and became the 3rd fastest player in Bruins history to reach 100 goals.

Pasta just moves so well with the puck and his game has really matured. When Pastrnak first entered the league he seemed afraid to even get touched. Now he is fighting in the corners and embracing contact.

Still Pastrnak knows how to dangle through defenders and score highlight reel goals. He proved that in the Bruins win over the Edmonton Oilers.

If Pastrnak keeps scoring at this rate I think he has a legitimate shot to win the Hart Trophy. He is only behind Auston Matthews in goals.

This looks like it will be the season that David Pastrnak leaves his mark on the entire NHL. He will prove that he is an elite goal scorer.

It’s crazy to think that he almost dropped out of the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft. The Bruins were lucky to grab him at 25th overall and seemed to have committed highway robbery by signing him to a long-term deal worth just over $6.6 million per year.

When David Pastrnak is playing every move could turn into a highlight-caliber goal. Bruins fans are lucky to watch such a great player develop into a possible superstar.
