New England Patriots mid-season awards for 2018 season

4. Comeback player
Josh Gordon has really redeemed himself since joining the New England Patriots. We are finally able to see just how good of a player he is.
When the Patriots traded for the receiver I was amped. I knew with Tom Brady at quarterback, Gordon could put up big numbers.
The only issue would be seeing how fast Gordon could acclimate himself to the “Patriot Way?” The Patriots playbook is known for breaking players and it takes a while for wide receivers to gain Brady’s trust.
Gordon couldn’t have done any better. He seamlessly fit in and has been a great asset so far.
This season with the Patriots, Gordon has 17 catches for 266 yards and a touchdown. Gordon’s most impressive game came in Week 7 when he had 4 catches for 100 yards.
Brady has been targeting Gordon a lot and when the Patriots need a big first down, he isn’t afraid to throw to Gordon. As the season progresses I think Gordon will continue to become a bigger part of the Patriots offense.
