3. The New England Patriots defense came to play

The New England Patriots defense looked pretty great on Sunday night. It was a great effort all around.

New England’s front seven was causing chaos all night. The Patriots defense only had one sack, but Trey Flowers and Adrian Clayborn were constantly hitting Aaron Rodgers. Even though they weren’t sacking Rodgers they were forcing him to make poor passes.

The Patriots struggled at times stopping the run game, but they still did rather well.

New England’s secondary also was great against Rodgers. Stephon Gilmore locked down Davante Adams. Jason McCourty even looked good. He was making great reads and stopping the opposition in their tracks.

I know McCourty got burned a few times, but overall he had a good game. If the Patriots defense keeps playing as they did in Week 9 they should be in a good position to win week in and week out.

Next. Why this could be Rob Gronkowski's last season. dark

The Patriots should enter the bye week with a win since they are playing the awful Titans in Week 10. You might as well make plans for Sunday afternoon because it should be a blowout.
