2. Zdeno Chara is really important

Boston Bruins fans can sometimes forget how important Zdeno Chara is. The defensemen is getting up there in age, but he still plays a major role for Boston.

More from Boston Bruins

We saw just how important Chara is when he left the game with an injury. It didn’t look good. Chara’s leg bent back when going for a hit.

Chara didn’t return for the 2nd period and it was evident. The Boston Bruins defense feel apart with Chara gone. I’m pretty sure the Bruins wouldn’t give up 4 goals in the 3rd period if the big man was on the ice.

When looking at the replay it didn’t look pretty. Some are saying it looks similar to Chara’s previous MCL injury. If that is the case the Bruins will be in deep trouble. They are already without Charlie McAvoy and Brandon Carlo.

So hopefully Chara will be back soon because the Bruins will be allowing a lot of goals if he doesn’t.
