Boston Celtics fans had great expectations for the team in the 2018-19 season and the team is finally looking like they have a chance to win it all.

The Boston Celtics are on fire as of late. The team is looking dominant even with some players dealing with injuries. Finally the Celtics team we were expecting before the season has arrived.

Before the season the expectations for the Celtics were sky high. I thought the Celtics may even be able to beat the Golden State Warriors regular season record of 73-9.

The Celtics had some struggles early on. It seemed like the team still needed to gel. Everyone was trying to get going early on in the season and that seemed to hurt Boston.

More from Chowder and Champions

Now the Boston Celtics are playing great. They are currently on a 7 game winning streak and they could probably extend it to 10 games.

Kyrie Irving is playing lights out. He put the Celtics on his back in the teams latest game against the Washington Wizards. Irving scored 38 points and had 7 assists. Kyrie made several clutch shots to propel Boston to victory.

Also, Irving has been a great leader for the team. He has helped young guys like Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum get out of slumps.

The Celtics had several players struggle early on. Brown and Tatum struggled after great seasons in 2017-2018. Now, these guys are playing great.

Marcus Morris has also been dominating. In his last two games, he has averaged 29 points. Morris was looked at to be a quality 2nd unit player but he has found his way into the Celtics starting lineup.

If the Celtics keep playing like this they will be unstoppable. Hopefully when Al Horford and Gordon Hayward return they will be even better.

The Boston Celtics are finally playing like the team we expected them to be. NBA Finals here we come!
