Boston Celtics rumors: Team is going to miss Aron Baynes
By Sam Minton
Aron Baynes may seem like he has little impact on the Boston Celtics, but the team will definitely miss him while he is gone.
The Boston Celtics may have lost to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, but that is just the beginning of their worries. Now the Celtics will be out one of their best role players.
Aron Baynes injured his hand during the game and after undergoing surgery for a broken left hand he will be out for 4-6 weeks.
The Celtics already have plenty of injuries. Al Horford and Guerschon Yabusele are already out of the lineup. Boston’s big man depth has shrunk dramatically.

Baynes doesn’t exactly light up the stat sheet averaging 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds a game, but he does all of this playing less than 15 minutes a game.
The most important role that Baynes plays is a mentor. He is simply a winner. Baynes was on the San Antonio Spurs 2013-2014 championship team.
The major factor that came from his time in San Antonio was Baynes learned how to come back after a brutal loss in the postseason. In the 2012-2013 playoffs, the Spurs lost in Game 7 of the NBA finals. The next season they ended up winning it all.
This experience should help the Celtics out a lot since they suffered a brutal loss in the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals. Boston should have won Game 7, but they let the game slip through their fingers. Now the Celtics will try and redeem themselves and make it to the NBA finals.
Hopefully, Al Horford and Guerschon Yabusele will be back soon because the Celtics need some reinforcements. The only positive for Celtics fans is that we get to see more Robert Williams.
Williams is one of the more electric players in the NBA. It seems everytime he enters the game he completes an alley-oop dunk or swatting a shot into the 20th row.
It will be interesting to see if Williams gets more playing time and gets the chance to show all of his skills.
Aron Baynes may seem like a minor player, but he will definitely be missed by the Boston Celtics.
