New England Patriots Gameday: Now is not the time to get Buffaloed
The New England Patriots (9-5) look to take care of the AFC East as they go up against the Buffalo Bills (5-9) at Gillette Stadium Sunday afternoon.
There will be no Josh Gordon on the field for the New England Patriots. Following a week where all the attention was focused on the troubles of the talented wide receiver, Bill Belichick and his crew are looking to refocus in the month of December and take care of business.
After back-to-back losses to the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers, the Patriots find themselves still in position to lock up the No. 2 seed in the AFC. They need a little help, but if they take care of business at home the next two weeks, the team will feel a bit better about themselves going into the playoffs.
Although his team is still heavy favorites going up against the Buffalo Bills in Week 16, Belichick knows a classic AFC East battle lies ahead.

"“It’s a big game,” Belichick said during his press conference Friday. “We know Buffalo’s tough, we know they’re going to compete and what we need to do to be competitive against them. So, we practiced with that in mind yesterday. We’ll do it again today, Saturday and be ready to go on Sunday.”"
In this game, the Patriots will be facing rookie quarterback Josh Allen for the first time. As a quarterback who can throw and run the ball, the defense will be in for a challenge. The good thing is Bill Belichick coached teams typically feast on rookie quarterbacks.
While the defense will be a key in this game, the focus is really on the offense and how they perform without Josh Gordon. Who will step up?
According to tight end Rob Gronkowski, they all need to step up. Along with getting the running game and James White also going in this game, Tom Brady simply needs to be Tom Brady. When he is going and, on his game, the rest of the playmakers will make plays to move the ball.

Week 16 Prediction:
The New England Patriots will come out firing in this game. If they don’t, then there is a true need for concern for this team. After losing the way they did in the final seconds in Miami and having a chance to escape Pittsburgh with a victory, if the team just plays 60 minutes of football, they can still beat anyone in the league anywhere.
Yes, even without Josh Gordon. In this game, Tom Brady will go classic Brady and the team will get big offensive performances out of Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and James White. But, watch for someone unexpected to make a big contribution on offense.
On defense, Bill Belichick will find ways to make Josh Allen uncomfortable in the pocket. While many are expecting a closer game than the odds suggest, I think the New England Patriots wrap up the AFC East in this one with a 38-10 victory.
