Rob Gronkowski

Let’s face it, Rob Gronkowski isn’t dominant anymore.  But that doesn’t mean he isn’t still capable of a couple dominant offensive performances.

In what could be his last playoff hurrah, Gronkowski promised to be all in now that the playoffs are here, and history proves he is capable of putting together some big-time performances.

While injuries have certainly slowed the most dominant tight end in Patriots history, the 29-year-old playmaker showed similar signs of slowing down in 2017.  Then Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers happened.  Gronk was unstoppable in that game, catching balls all over the field and all over defenders.

Gronkowski also had a productive game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.  After that defeat, the big tight end hinted at retirement, which will certainly be a story during the postseason, especially if the team gets bounced early.

Though Rob Gronkowski has not been the dominant target fans are used to during the regular season, he is still an above average tight end who can make an impact on the game with his blocking.  He can still also be a valuable target in the red zone.

In all, Gronkowski is due for a big game and the playoffs are a good place for him to have that game, especially if it ends up being his NFL swan song.
