Terry Rozier is likely to be shipped at the NBA Trade Deadline, but one destination would be the best for the future of the Boston Celtics.

Boston Celtics fans, this is finally the year.

For the past few seasons, rumors have run rampant over whether or not Danny Ainge would make a move at the trade deadline. This year, the lack of moves at the deadline will seemingly change for the C”s.

Guard Terry Rozier is on an expiring contract and Boston simply does not have the salary cap room to pay the young guard. It’s unfortunate as Rozier seemingly was on track to be one of the leagues up and coming players, but he simply doesn’t have a future in Boston.

More from Celtics Rumors

Rozier should garner a pretty hot trade market as it is, which means the Celtics need to maximize their return value. Nothing can do this quite like a trade with the Orlando Magic.

The Celtics have seemingly had a real center problem since Kevin Garnett was shipped to the Brooklyn Nets in 2013, and really need to change that.

Luckily for Boston, Orlando has an influx of centers on their roster. One name, that has come up in trade discussions for the Magic is big man Nikola Vucevic.

The 28-year-old Swiss has averaged over 20 points and 12 Rebounds this season while playing like one of the leagues premier bigs. His offensive prowess for his position is one of the best in the game, and he has always been a fantastic rebounder.

Al Horford is really a stretch 4, so the addition of Vucevic would mean the Celtics would have a bit more of a traditional lineup while maximizing everyone’s talent. The other big men on the market such as Marc Gasol and Enes Kanter are just not as desirable.

Gasol is declining as a player whereas Kanter comes with a loaded contract. For the price and age, Vucevic is the way to go.

A trade in this situation could look like this: Boston Receives: Nikola Vucevic and a 2nd Round Pick Orlando Receives: Terry Rozier and Aron Baynes.

The cap situation allows such a trade to go through and means the Boston Celtics would not have to jump through hurdles in order to make such a deal work.

Without a doubt, an offensively skilled player such as Vucevic would be welcomed, not to mention his incredible rebounding skills which this team lacks greatly.

Of all the returns you could get for Terry Rozier, this is undoubtedly the best trade.
