Boston Bruins: Tuukka Rask can no longer be hated

Tuukka Rask played great in the 1st round of the playoffs and there is no reason for Boston Bruins fans to hate him anymore.

Boston fans love to be hard on their players. One mistake can follow you for the rest of your career. Boston Bruins fans will have one less player to worry about.

There is one player on the Boston Bruins that can divide the fanbase. You either think he is great or you think he is awful. That player is Tuukka Rask.

Rask has always been an argument starter. Ever since he got his new contract, fans expected the best from him.

Critics of Rask have called out his poor play at times and his inability to win clutch games. After Rask’s performance in the 1st round of the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs, there is no reason to hate on Tuukka.

When the Bruins needed Rask the most he played his best. In Game 7 Rask stopped 32 shots and stood on his head. He was the 1st star of the game and really stood on his head. Rask is one of the main reasons that the Bruins are in the 2nd round.

Rask was fantastic in the entire playoffs. He has a goals against average of 2.32 and a save percentage of .928.

This is what Boston Bruins fans wanted. They wanted Rask to show up when it mattered and that’s exactly what he did.

So Rask haters can no longer trash the goaltender. He has performed so well and seems like he is on a way to a Stanley Cup.

It is pretty clear that Tuukka Rask is one of the best goaltenders in Boston Bruins history. Bruins fans really need to appreciate how great he is.

It is tough to live up to a $7 million dollar contract. That is a big sum of money in the NHL, but when you look at the stats it is clear that Rask is a great goaltender.
