The 2019 regular season has been rough for Boston Red Sox star Chris Sale, but it looks like the ace has finally figured things out.

This season has definitely been an interesting one for the Boston Red Sox. A World Series champion that had most of its players returning has found itself at the bottom of the AL East.

I honestly could never have imagined such a poor start for the Red Sox, but when your supposed ace loses all of his magic it is hard to win.

Chris Sale’s season couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start. After 5 games, Sale was 0-5 with an ERA over 7.

It seemed like the dominant Chris Sale was gone. Opponents were hitting Sale like he was throwing a beach ball, and his velocity was dropping fast.

But now it seems like he has finally figured out. Sale now has a little win streak going and is finally looking like the guy that Red Sox fans know and love.

Sale’s latest outing was an absolute beauty. He pitched an 8 inning masterpiece with 14 strikeouts only allowing one earned run.

The most amazing thing about Sale’s performance was his immaculate inning. In the 7th inning, he threw 9 strikes to strike out the side. To put that in perspective throwing an immaculate inning is rarer than throwing a perfect game.

This is the dominant Chris Sale that the Red Sox need. If they want to get back on top of the AL East they need a starter that they can rely on every time they touch the mound.

The Red Sox have invested a lot of money in Sale. He signed a new 5-year extension worth 145 million dollars.
