Boston Red Sox: Michael Chavis just what team needed
By Sam Minton
The Boston Red Sox got off to a rough start this season, but now things are on the right track and Michael Chavis deserves some credit.
Just like the Boston Red Sox’s this season, Michael Chavis‘ career got off to a rough start. The first big splash that he made in the MLB was that he was suspended for PED’s. Now that he is finally in the majors, Chavis is making a big impact.
Chavis hasn’t been in the majors long. He has only played in 22 games but has shown that he belongs.

The 23-year-old boasts a batting average just south of .300 and has 7 home runs and 21 RBIs. The ball catapults off of Chavis’ bat like it somehow has the nitrous from the “Fast and the Furious” movies.
Chavis’ performance in the Red Sox last game ensured that he has what it takes to last in the league. He had a walk-off single to give the Red Sox the win.
I think that the Red Sox have someone special on their hands. The team has been looking for their everyday 2nd baseman for a while now.
Ever since Dustin Pedroia has continued to get hurt, the Red Sox have just been plugging the hole, but now it seems like they have found their permanent fix.
The Red Sox have figured things out and are out of the AL East basement. The team is only 4 games out of first place. After the first month of the season I bet fans would be ecstatic to see where the Red Sox are now.
This team looks like they might be able to have a long run in the playoffs. They are starting to gel and are really hitting their stride and with Michael Chavis they should be successful for a long time.
