Summer League sensation Tacko Fall brings more than size to the Boston Celtics, he brings a towering personality.

The legend of Tacko Fall will continue at least through training camp for Boston Celtics fans.  The team announced Thursday that they have signed four players, including the 7-foot-6 center who won over fans and former NBA players like Kendrick Perkins.

For a team desperate for front court help, the size and rim-protecting ability of Fall was intriguing before Summer League even started.

Projected as nothing more than a project, the University of Central Florida product became an instant fan favorite, averaging 7.2 points, 4.0 rebound and 1.4 blocks during his five Summer League games.

This coming off a college basketball career in which he averaged 10.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks during his college career.

While the numbers don’t stand out as particularly dominant given his size, his skills on the basketball court are growing beyond that 7-foot-6 frame.   If he can make the team, he gives the Celtics a player who can change shots at the rim and a player who will certainly help with rebounding.  Most importantly, he is a positive personality that has already won over Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens.

"“First of all, I think he’s a good basketball player, but I can’t tell you how impressed I’ve been with his humility and self-awareness,” Stevens told ESPN’s Doris Burke in earlier in July.  “Everybody is staring at him when he walks in the building.  He walked in, and all of the ESPN cameras are just running right to him and he’s not even a drafted guy.  He just has a tremendous way about it.”"

That is what makes Tacko Fall such a treat for Celtics fans coming off the kind of season the team had.  He is an undrafted player who is easy to root for because of that humility Stevens referenced.  Beyond a basketball player, he is an intriguing individual who will find a way to make his mark in the NBA even if it ends up not being with the Boston Celtics.

In a front court that now consists of Enes Kanter, Daniel Theis, Robert Williams III, Grant Williams and Vincent Poirier, Tacko Fall will have an opportunity to be something bigger than just a Summer League phenomenon.  He has a great chance to be a part of the team at some point in the season if not from the start.

If and when will work its way out on the basketball court this fall.  As of now, the legend of Tacko Fall continues to grow now that he has an official contract.  It will grow even more the day he blocks a shot off the hands of Kyrie Irving.
