By Sam Minton
Josh Gordon is officially back with the New England Patriots and he will have a major impact on the team this season.
It feels so good to type these words. Josh Gordon is officially back with the New England Patriots.
On Friday the NFL announced that Gordon would be reinstated on a conditional basis. He won’t be playing right away but he will be linking up with the team for practices in the coming days.

Now you hope that Gordon can stay on the straight and narrow. He has had addiction issues for seemingly his entire life. Besides the effect on his personal life, his NFL career has been severely limited due to his issues.
Hopefully, the Patriots will give him all the resources he needs and Gordon will be able to build a strong circle around himself so these issues will be put at bay and hopefully erased from his life.
Once Gordon does get on the field he should have a major impact. In his first season with the Patriots, Gordon racked up 40 catches for 720 yards and 3 touchdowns.
If Gordon can have a similar output in 2019 the Patriots will be golden. Now all of a sudden one of the strongest positions on New England’s depth chart is wide receiver. Heading into the offseason this definitely wasn’t the case.
The return of Josh Gordon will affect the entire New England Patriots roster, but here are the 3 players that will be affected most by the wide receivers return.
