Stephon Gilmore

Last season we saw Stephon Gilmore become the star of the New England Patriots defense. He was amazing and that the team made the right decision by choosing him over Malcolm Butler.

Fans were expecting a lot from Gilmore in 2019. He would once again have to be the leader on defense.

Well, Gilmore played great in Week 2. The Dolphins couldn’t get any sort of passing game going. Gilmore was all over Miami’s pass catchers.

By the end of Sunday’s game, Gilmore returned an interception for a touchdown and had 2 tackles and 3 passes defended.

It looks like Gilmore will be the Patriots top defender once again this season. He is amazing and can stop any wide receiver. Getting to practice against guys like Antonio Brown every day must help.

2019 looks like it will be another season where Stephon Gilmore proves that he is the best cornerback in the NFL.
