Boston College Eagles: Offense shines, defense falters in loss to Louisville
Stars on offense
The passing game shined in the first half for the offense while the running game took hold in the second.
It appeared AJ Dillon might not reach the 100-yard mark after a mediocre first half. Dillon and the offensive line stepped up their game, however, and Dillon finished with 118 yards on 22 carries. This marked Dillon’s fourth-straight game with 100 yards or more.

There were moments that Dillon seemed to spend too much time on the sideline. It’s good to be able to limit his carries — and David Bailey has been a nice tandem with Dillon — but there could have been more opportunities. Especially in the second-half when Dillon was breaking off seven and eight yard runs.
Dillon also had one reception for 36 yards. He did have the ball stripped near the goal line on the game’s opening drive, leaving Boston College empty on the scoreboard.
The Boston College tight ends continued to impress, hauling in eight passes for 158 yards and three touchdowns. Hunter Long, the team’s leading receiver, had three catches for 99 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown reception.
Korab Idrizi hauled in three passes as well, two of which went for touchdowns.
Kobay White had a nice game, catching three passes for 38 yards and a score. Travis Levy also had a touchdown, scoring off an end around he took 37 yards.
