Tom Brady becomes a free agent at the end of the season and it seems like he is setting up to leave the New England Patriots.

I never thought that I would see Tom Brady in anything but a New England Patriots jersey. How could the team let him leave? Well I have some bad news Patriots fans.

Brady has made a lot of moves to set him up for leaving New England. His latest might be the final straw.

More from Chowder and Champions

It all started in the offseason when it was revealed that a part of Brady’s contract was that he can’t be franchise tagged at the end of the season. This means the Patriots have to sign him to a relatively long-term deal or he becomes a free agent.

Then there is the fact that Brady put his house on the market. Sure he is allowed to move but this seems a little suspicious.

Now the final straw is that he is stepping down from being the honorary co-chair at Best Buddies. Brady’s partnership with the charity brought numerous events to the New England area. Off the field it was probably one of the things he was most recognized for.

When you put all of these facts together it seems like Brady is preparing to leave the team. He is severing a lot of ties with the team and the region.

“Hey Sam, he just opened up a TB12 facility in Boston what about that?” Well my friend even though this might give Patriots fans hope it shouldn’t.

Before the new facility opened, the only location was at Patriot Place. Now if he left the team he could close up shop and still have a location in the region he is beloved.

You can call me crazy or a conspiracy theorist but after a while you can’t call something a coincidence.

So prepare for arguably the worst day in franchise history Patriots nation. The day we say goodbye to Tom Brady.
