New England Patriots: Mohamed Sanu is a giant bust
By Sam Minton
The New England Patriots paid quite the price for Mohamed Sanu and he has been nothing but a bust.
When the New England Patriots first acquired Mohamed Sanu I was skeptical. He has been nothing short of a bust so far.
Sanu was supposed to be the answer to the Patriots problems. With the receiver corps dwindling the team needed some help.

You could sense that New England was desperate. They gave the Falcons a 2nd round pick.
Since joining the Patriots Sanu’s stats are not even close to that price. In 7 games he has 23 catches for 172 yards and a touchdown.
I can’t describe how much of a mistake this was. I understand that Sanu has been hurt, but he still hasn’t performed anywhere close to the expectations we had for him.
This move was also confusing cause the Patriots had a young wide receiver who was extremely promising. N’Keal Harry easily could have been the No.2 wide receiver.
We have seen Harry become a large part of the Patriots offense. When Julian Edelman retires he could become the team’s top receiver.
The Patriots really made a mistake with this trade. Usually, New England is the one outsmarting teams. This go around it seems like Atlanta is the clear winner.
It will take a lot for Sanu to win Patriots fans over. He will need to win the Patriots some playoff games or even the Super Bowl. We saw Sony Michel do that last season.
But I don’t think that will be happening. It seems like Sanu’s best days are behind him. There doesn’t even seem to be a reason to bring him back season. He doesn’t bring any value to the team.
Rarely do we see the New England Patriots mess up but they sure did with this trade.
