Boston Celtics rumors: Dewayne Dedmon can fix team’s problems
By Sam Minton
The Boston Celtics have one big problem, but one player might be able to fix that.
This season has been pretty amazing for the Boston Celtics. The team has exceeded expectations and seems like they are capable of going far in the playoffs.
But there is one glaring problem that the team has and it isn’t a new one. The Celtics need a big man.

It seemed like we got a fix in the form of Enes Kanter. He has performed well but not well enough.
The Celtics lineup is rather small. Thankfully the game has adapted to a more perimeter-oriented style of play. Still, the C’s lack of rebounding could kill their success.
That is why the team needs to make a move and they might have found their man.
Dewayne Dedmon just signed a deal with the Sacramento Kings, but he isn’t enjoying his time there. He has asked the Kings for a trade and wants out.
Dedmon has had a lengthy career traveling across the NBA. He had his best season a year ago when he averaged 10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds. Those numbers aren’t starter worthy but Dedmon would be surrounded by a lot of talent in Boston.
This season hasn’t been the best for Dedmon. He has only appeared in 23 games and Dedmon only started 4 of those.
Now I think the Celtics can afford to get Dedmon. They have plenty of draft picks that they can waste seeing that they have a bevy of 1st rounders (not that they would use them). Also, the Celtics could get rid of a bench piece to acquire a veteran big man to plug up the paint.
Now that it is known that Dedmon wants out the price to acquire him may go down. That could help the Boston Celtics out.
So let’s see if Dedmon ends up in Boston before the trade deadline ends.
